Niels Bjørn-Andersen participates in the distribution of NKR 1 billion

Niels Bjørn-Andersen and 9 other European researchers have been appointed as members of the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Research-based Innovation. The initiative is launched by the Norwegian Research Council.

The aim of the initiative is to:

  • Promote the possibilities of innovation for companies through focusing on long-term research

  • Facilitate active alliances between innovative companies and leading research environments

  • Strengthen the development of industry-oriented research groups

  • Stimulate researcher training in areas such as bio-production, bio-science, medication, ICT, services, infrastructure etc.

At least 10 centres will be established and nearly NKR 1 billion will be distributed over a period of 8 years.
