PhD defence: Anne Sophie Lassen
This thesis contains four independent chapters on gender equality. The first chapter presents a survey of the literature on the impact of parental leave policies. The following chapters employ causal frameworks and investigate the role of parental leave policies in reducing gender gaps, men's and women's adjustments to labor market shocks, and role models' influence on occupational choices.
