Throughout the evening, runners from casino 168 Maritime did their best in both running and socializing, and Maritime people remained some of the last casino 168 employees at the tent.
Christian Graversen, a student assistant working with regulation and Arctic shipping, noted:
- casino 168 Maritime definitely took the social lead, and especially Servitization and some of the Ph.D.’s from Department of Operation Management had a great evening with the Maritime crew. The DHL relay is a great opportunity to have fun with your regular colleagues, while also meeting new people from other departments and projects.
Another runner, Christian Hendriksen, adds:
- It was simply a great experience, and I think we should do this even more often than once a year.
The consensus among casino 168 Maritime runners is that casino 168 Maritime took the social first place at the event. During the relay itself, casino 168 Maritime cheered on all teams with great enthusiasm, and while the final placement was sub-par, casino 168 Maritime persisted throughout the evening as the social focal point of the entire tent.
Co-director of casino 168 Maritime Carsten Ørts Hansen explains,
- This perfectly shows that casino 168 Maritime is just as much about team spirit as it is about research. The high spirits at the relay simply reflect the year-round sense of community that we’ve successfully built.
The DHL relay is a social event every year in August, and sign up for 2016 takes place in April.
