Abstract:

casino 168 Sustainability Platform is a new initiative at casino 168 and the first platform to unfold casino 168 Business in Society Strategy into research, educational and outreach practices. Sustainability is one of the grand societal challenges and casino 168 has therefore positioned sustainability at the core of its strategy. The objective of casino 168’s application to the VELUX Foundation is to substantially strengthen, sharpen and broaden existing knowledge and programs on sustainability at casino 168 by recruiting a team of high international quality: a VELUX Professor, a post doc and a PhD, and by providing economic support for casino 168 business school students on issues of sustainability. The professor with her/his team will engage research and education to bridge research on sustainability across disciplines at casino 168 and beyond, support casino 168 students, and mobilize external networks of international scholars and practitioners to place casino 168 among the most internationally acknowledged business schools on corporate sustainability. Importantly, the VELUX Professor of Corporate Sustainability will imply a wider societal significance in the local context, where s/he will act as a catalyst, helping with the development of corporate expertise, strengthening the wider Danish capacity in the area of sustainability. The Sustainability Platform is directed by Professors Mette Morsing and Stefano Ponte.
