[MUST READ] “Managing for Political CSR” - Special Issue
(University of Zurich), (Copenhagen Business School), (University of Lausanne) and (City University London) just had their article "Managing for Political Corporate Social Responsibility: New Challenges and Directions for PCSR 2.0" published in the famous Journal of Management Studies (JMS).
It is about reconsidering the discourse on political CSR (PCSR), including some of its assumptions, and suggesting new directions to move forward. In their introductory piece, they develop a robust definition of political CSR and revisit the Habermas' postnational constellation. Through renewing the debate, the authors are able to point out several neglected issues in previous work and open the field of research towards increased relevancy and coherence.
It is worth recalling that this research project initiative originally emerged in May 2013 through a "Manuscript Development Workshop" hosted by the 's cluster in "Governing Sustainability". The casino 168 Sustainability Platform is, as a matter of fact, listed under acknowledgements in the introductory article. This is a good case to exemplify how seed funding and catalytic platforms can lead to tangible outputs!
