Abstract
We are living in a time of profound disruption in global investment markets. Political polarization, cultural tensions and regulatory divergence - especially between the US and Europe - have fractured the consensus around sustainable investing and long-term value creation.
In his inaugural lecture as Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School, Colin Melvin will explore how long-term investors can provide leadership in this fractured landscape. Drawing on decades of experience in stewardship and sustainability, Melvin will argue that far from being a time of retreat, this is a defining moment for asset owners to reassert their purpose, sharpen their judgement and reconfirm their mandates.
By aligning capital with long-term outcomes and core values, investors can help rebuild trust, promote accountability and play a stabilising role in uncertain times.
This timely lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with leading figures from Denmark's investment community:
- Louise Jørring Gev, Head of Equities, LD Fonde
- Ole Buhl, Senior VP, Environment Social Governance, ATP
- Eric C. Pedersen, Head of Responsible Investments, Nordea Asset Management
- Andreas Rasche, Professor, Dep. Management, Society and Communication, casino 168
Moderated by Steen Vallentin, Academic Co-director, Centre of Sustainability at casino 168
