SOMF 2025: A Global Gathering of Researchers Shaping the Future of Service Operations
The Service Operations Management Forum (SOMF) 2025, theme: “Cutting-Edge Service Operations Empowering Leading Organization of the future”, took place at Copenhagen Business School (casino 168), 13-14 March. The event was chaired by Professor Juliana Hsuan (casino 168) in collaboration with Magnus Persson and Árni Halldórsson (Chalmers University of Technology).
The SOMF 2025 conference brought together a distinguished international community of researchers to discuss the latest advancements in service operations management, including themes on service modularity, sustainability, servitization, technology and services, supply chain management, and healthcare.
The conference had inspiring speeches from three keynotes:

With participants from across Europe, SOMF 2025 reaffirmed its role as a leading platform for advancing knowledge in service operations management. The event concluded with an engaging panel discussion on ‘the future research directions and academia-industry collaboration’, laying the groundwork for continued collaboration and innovation in service research.
The conference ended with a farewell gathering, reinforcing the strong network of scholars dedicated to shaping the future of service operations. Plans for SOMF 2026 (to be held at The Open University, London) were announced, promising another year of cutting-edge insights and global engagement.
